Nepal Minute - out of the ordinary

Football

Nepal secured a third successive win in the SAFF U-15 Women's Championship in Bangladesh, a 1-0 victory over Bhutan in Dhaka on Wednesday.

A 49th-minute strike from Senu Pariyar proved decisive in the match held at the BSSSMK Stadium in Dhaka.

Bhutan, who went down 7-0 in the previous encounter with Nepal, put in an improved performance in their second meeting.

Bhutan stepped up their defence with tight markings and better coordination between defenders and their goalkeeper.

Nepal have maintained perfect record, taking their tally to nine points from three matches. Bangladesh are in the second place on six points. Bhutan have bowed of the double round-robin competition after losing all four matches.

Now, a draw against Bangladesh in their last match on Friday will give Nepal the title.
