The Nepal Police has urged local residents in Patadewal of Khaptadchanna Rural Municipality-6, Bajhang to stay outside their houses after another powerful earthquake hit the country's Farwest. 

A quake measuring 5.4 on Richter scale shook Sudurpaschim Province on Saturday evening.
As the 6.61 earthquake on Tuesday midnight had weakened the houses of the locals, said Sub-Police Inspector Ram Bahadur Bam of Patadewal Police Station. 

“We are urging them through loudspeakers to stay outdoors for their safety as aftershocks continue to take place.” It is risky to stay inside the same houses after the earthquake.

According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, western Nepal has been getting a lot of aftershocks. Starting from the first foreshock of 5.7 ML on Tuesday around Doti, Bajhang and Bajura have already been rocked 331 times.

So far, five quakes, measuring four on the Richter scale or stronger, have hit the region since November 8.

Residents in Patadewal, Rajkot, Tiune, Pujarigaon are currently staying outside their homes.
Residents of ward 5 in the same Rural Municipality are also sitting outside the house. Kul Prasad Joshi, a local resident, said that the houses that were violently shaken in Tuesday's earthquake were further damaged on Saturday.

Meanwhile, residents in the district headquarters Chainpur have spent the night on the ground of the Sudurpaschimanchal Boarding School.
