Voting to elect the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assemblies (PA) has started at 7:00 am on Sunday.
According to the Election commission, voters have started reaching the voting centres to excercise their voting right.
There are 17,988,570 eligible voters who wiill cast their votes on four different ballot papers for the first-past-the-post (FPTP) and the proportional representation system.
The voting will continue till 5:00 pm across the country.
A team including Chief Election Commissioners from India, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Maldives, and election commissioners from Sri Lanka and South Korea will be monitoring the election to enhance the credibility of the election by monitoring the electoral process. Similarly, 18 diplomatic missions in Nepal will observe the election day.
