The CPN-UML is leading the proportional votes for the House of Representatives, with the Nepali Congress and the Rastriya Swatantra Party in tow, according to the Election Commission update until 6 am Saturday.

UML, which has been in the lead in this category since the beginning of the count, has received 894,409 votes. The Congress has polled 857,621 votes and the newcomer RSP is in third place with 432,575 votes.

Likewise, the CPN (Maoist Centre) is in fourth place with 402,499 votes, followed by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party with 233,375 votes and the Janata Samajbadi Party (112,579). 

Lying seventh in the race is the Janmat Party with 67,614 votes, while the Janata Samajbadi Party has 62,547 votes, followed by the CPN (Unified Socialist) with 61,704 votes and the Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party (56,183).

The EC says the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party-Nepal received 51,200 votes, while the Hamro Nepali Party had 29,423 votes, the Rastriya Janamorcha (21,814), the Mongolian National Organisation (17,186).

The CPN (M), the Rastriya Janamukti Party, the Nepal Federal Socialist Party, the Federal Democratic National Forum, National Democratic Party-Nepal, among others have less than 10,000 votes.
