The second round of the talks between the governments of Nepal and the United Kingdom aimed at addressing the long-standing demands of ex-British Gurkha soldiers has concluded in London on Thursday.
The meeting has been viewed as the building block to resolve the problems faced by ex-British Gurkhas from Nepal.
The two-hour meeting discussed the pay, pensions and other facilities provided by the British government to the serving and retired Gurkhas, according to Roshan Khanal, deputy chief of mission at the Nepali Embassy in London.
With no clear understanding reached, the two sides agreed to sit down for another round of the talks in the second week of December.
Those attending the latest round of talks were office-bearers of the British Defence Ministry and representatives of the ex-Gurkhas. Also present were Nepali diplomats.
