In the women's final, the UAE scored a comprehensive 26-5 victory over India. Thailand beat Malaysia 19-7 to secure third place.

The first ever rugby competition in Nepal featured eight teams in the men’s section and five in the women's, with matches being played over two days – on Saturday and Sunday.
