Hilly areas of Province 1, Bagmati and Gandaki are likely to witness light rain and snowfall on Saturday, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The rest of the country will remain generally clear.

The weather may take partial to complete change over night in the Province 1 hills, partial change in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki, with generally clear weather in the rest of the country, the department predicted. 

It has urged the public to take necessary precautions to avoid cold as temperatures in some parts of Tarai are likely to dip a few notches in the morning. 

According to the latest information of the Weather Forecast Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley on Saturday is 7.6 degrees Celcius and the maximum temperature is 18.7 degrees Celsius. 

Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the country at -4.5 degrees Celcius and Janakpur had the highest maximum temperature at 24.8 degrees Celsius.
