KMC renevue up nearly 20 per cent to Rs4.34 billion
The metropolis approves a fine of upto Rs 3,000 against anyone putting up unauthorised display boards
Kathmandu Metropolitan City has recorded nearly 20 per cent year-on-year growth in its revenue, with a collection of Rs 4.34 billion until December 30 in this fiscal year.
Shivaraj Adhikari, chief of KMC Revenue Department, said the city collected Rs 3.69 billion last fiscal.
With the coronavirus illness fading, the city's revenue collection has increased, Adhikari told a KMC meeting on Wednesday.
The revenue advisory committee meeting approved imposing fines on unauthorised display boards in the KMC. It also authorised KMC teams to fine noncompliant businesspeople between Rs500 and Rs3,000.
