Dev Lama, 28, of Sindhupalchok and Bal Kumar Karki, 27, of Solukhumbu had gone for adventurous trekking along the Dhaulagiri mountainous route through the 'Four Season Mountain Treks'.

The trekker duo disappeared after falling into Kharpas of Dhaulagiri Mountain on October 7. Karki and Lama went missing in the mountains during a snowstorm, and their bodies were discovered after the snow melted.

The body of Karki was brought to Kathmandu on Wednesday (January 18) on the initiative of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) and the Four Season Mountain Treks.

The body of the deceased Karki was airlifted to Pokhara by a helicopter and then transported to Kathmandu in a van, according to TAAN Chairperson Nilhari Bastola.

Karki's body has been kept at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for an autopsy.
