Nabil Bank, a commercial bank in Nepal, has opened an application for the second batch of the 'Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship' programme, after the successful operation of the first batch.

According to the press statement issued, the programme was conducted in collaboration with the School of Management under the Faculty of Management of Tribhuvan University and with the technical support of the School of Social Entrepreneurship India.

The bank has said that the fellowship program will bring positive changes into the society and help achieve the goals of sustainable development.

“Innovative thinking in the fields of agriculture, tourism, energy, environmental protection, information technology, and Nepali citizens who have reached the age of 18 to 50 can apply. This program, which aims to promote social entrepreneurship, will last for 6 months,” stated the statement.

“Three days of residential discussion will be organised every month and the rest of the days have been prepared in the form of practical exercises at one's workplace,” added the statement.

The Bank will also assist all the participants in solving the practical difficulties encountered in doing business by arranging a mentor for all the participants throughout the training period and for the remaining 6 months for one year.

As many as 20 people were selected in the first batch of this fellowship program, which was started to promote economic and social transformation.

The participants from various backgrounds received training on various topics such as legality, tax, business branding, and marketing that are essential for social enterprise operation.

Technical and practical knowledge was provided to the participants through various interactive programs and procedures.

The last day of application submission is scheduled for August 20, 2022.
