The Meteorological Forecasting Division, issuing a three-day bulletin on Tuesday, said it is likely thunderstorms continue in some parts.

Starting on Tuesday afternoon, the division said that occasional/light rain with thunderstorm/lightning is likely in a few places of the country including a few places in Tarai.

The weather will be generally clear in hilly areas of the country and partly cloudy in the rest of the country overnight on Tuesday. Occasional/light rain with thunderstorm/lightning is likely at a few places in hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki regions.

The rain and thunder are likely to continue in a few places in Bagmati and Koshi Provinces on Wednesday afternoon whereas, there are chances of thunder/lightning and light rain at one or two places in hilly areas of the Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki regions on Wednesday night.

While on Thursday, the met division forecast the weather will improve in the hilly parts but the rain-carrying clouds will move to Tarai causing occasional rains with lightning.

Considering the lightning, the division has also advised seeking caution. Lightning strikes are one of the major natural killers in Nepal, with an average death toll crossing 100 annually.
