Renowned industrialist Rajesh Kumar Agrawal has been named the Senior Vice President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI). The Governing Council Committee of CNI has selected Agarwal as the Senior Vice President as per the charter of the Confederation.

Agrawal will automatically become the president of the business organisation at the upcoming annual general meeting due later this year, according to the Confederation’s charter.

Agrawal has been a member of the Confederation for a decade and a half and headed its Industry Committee and Revenue Committee among others. He has been the convenor of the Employers' Council and was nominated CNI's Vice President back in 2017.

Born in Kathmandu, Agrawal has been in the industry since 1992. Agrawal is the executive director of RMC Group. The RMC Group is involved in pre-dominantly involved in cement and steels manufacturing. Lately, the group has also forayed into the food market.

The confederation believes that the new Vice President will play an important role in improving the country's economy by making the Confederation more dynamic with his long experience and expertise in the industry and business sector.
