As monsoon continues, the weather will continue to be cloudy with chances of rainfall this week too.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the weather will likely be partially to generally cloudy throughout the country for the next three days, starting Sunday.

As the axis of the monsoon trough is located on the southern side than the normal position, chances of light to medium rainfall with thunder and lightning are possible in some places of hilly areas.

According to the Met Division, a few areas of Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces will witness heavy rainfall.

Some parts of Province 1, Lumbini and Bagmati provinces will receive light to medium rainfall along with thunder and lightning at night for the next three consecutive days.

The Gandaki and Karnali provinces will receive heavy rainfall during night time.

A similar prediction is made for Monday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile, monsoon activities are likely to continue and the water levels are expected to rise in major rivers across the country.
