Floods triggered by overnight monsoon rains have inundated several riverbank settlements in Kathmandu valley.
Squatter settlements and towns along the Manohara river, including Pepsi Cola, Kandaghari, Mulpani in Kathmandu and Changunarayan and Madhyapur, were most affected.
Hundreds of structures, including a police outpost, remained inundated until Wednesday morning.
Kathmandu recorded 75 millimetres in the past 24 hours, and the cloudy and rainy weather conditions will continue for the next couple of days, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
A NepalMintue photographer has captured images of Manohara settlements bearing the brunt of the flash flood that inundated several structures, including pig and poultry farms and Nepal Police outpost at Kandaghari.
No human casualty was reported as people moved to higher grounds soon after the water level started rising. The Met Division says most of the rivers across the country currently remain flooded as monsoon rains continue.
