Hundreds of thousands of people look for employment opportunities in Nepal every year.

Many companies in the country are demanding employees but they are not able to get employees as per the requirement. Similarly, on the other hand, people who are looking for employment opportunities are not able to apply and get in touch with companies.

With an aim to bridge this gap, the Education Council and Employers Council of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) are going to organise 'CNI Jobs and Skills Fair 2079' in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, from November 3-6, 2022.

According to a press release, the three-day fair will work as a bridge to connect different companies and job seekers in one place.

“There will be a broad discussion on how to meet the needs of employers and the demand for skilled employees,” stated the statement.

The main aim of the fair is to understand the gap between the availability of skills and the need for skills in the market. "The gap between potential employees and employers will be reduced. The government and other stakeholders will work on the needs of employers and job seekers. Identification of policy and curriculum requirements to create world-class manpower in Nepal,” added the statement.”

The participation of national and international companies, extensive discussion on various topics related to skill development, presentations by national and international experts on skills, and communication and discussion with companies for work are the main attractions of the event.

More than 200 companies and more than 50,000 people are expected to participate in the three-day fair including corporate houses, innovation, students of educational institutions, service and manufacturing industries, and private companies.
