Parking Space Crisis
Mayor Balen Shah and his team swings into action to clear parking space
Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah visited Baneshwor Complex Monday to oversee demolition of "illegal" structures
Kathmandu Metropolitan City has started demolishing "illegal" structures and facilities built in the open underground parking of a commercial building in the New Baneshwor area.
The Metropolitan Police started demolishing the structures by using machines to open the parking space in commercial buildings including Baneshwor Complex, where several shops had been opened in the parking area.
On July 1, a 35-day notice was issued by KMC asking the traders not to use the underground parking for other purposes.
