An additional 324 cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said. With the recent additions the active cases of the infection in the country has advanced to 3,943. 

The new cases were reported after testing 3,515 samples from both the PCR and antigen tests. 
Of those tested positive of the infection today 92 are from Kathmandu, 13 from Lalitpur and seven from Bhaktapur. 

Those tested positive of the infection are 46 in the age group 21-30 and 33 in the age group 31-40. Similarly, nine people aged above 80 have also been tested positive of the infection.

Meanwhile, 418 people have been discharged from the health centres. 

A total of 50 people are admitted in the intensive care unit in health centres across the country of which 37 are in Bagmati Province. Meanwhile, one person is being given ventilator care in Sudurpaschim Province. 

Also one person has succumbed to the infection in the past 24 hours. Three persons has succumbed to the infection on August 25. With the recent additions the number of people who have succumbed to the infection has advanced to 11,999. 

As the risk for the coronavirus has not yet subsided the health ministry advises to follow precautionary health measures such as hand washing, wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, covering coughs and sneezes.
