Nepal's national football team captain and goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Kanchan Niraula, at a low-key private ceremony on Wednesday.
Niraula is an air hostess with Yeti Airlines.
The couple got married amid a traditional ceremony at the Silver Oak Party Palace in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
Chemjong had reached the party palace in Baluwatar with his family and close friends.
It has been reported that they have invited only a limited number of relatives and friends to their marriage ceremony.
The couple made international headlines recently.
On August 2, Chemjong proposed to Niraula in a football stadium in the Maldives.
Kanchan Niraula's social media, including TikTok, feeds are full of photos and videos of the couple spending time together in Nepal and the Maldives.
There, the club that Chemjong played for, Mazia Sports and RC, won a league.
The couple has been dating for more than one and half years, according to Nepali media reports.
However, they did not reveal their relationship.
Earlier, after team Nepal won the Three Nations Cup in 2021 in Kathmandu, Niraula was seen in the frame just as Chemjong lifted the Cup.
