Nepal Minute - out of the ordinary

Nepal

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Managing Director Kulman Ghising is on a new high after he noticed that his followers on micro-blogging site Twitter crossed 20,000.

Though not an active social media user, he took this opportunity to express his thoughts on Twitter and thank his followers using social media.

Ghising writes:

At the start of his last term four years ago, in May 2018, Ghising was credited with ending load-shedding in the country.

He was re-appointed as the managing director of NEA on August 11 last year. Just recently he oversaw power export to neighbouring India.

Busy with several power sector reforms, he recently exuded confidence saying he can lead the Energy Ministry.
