Following a major operation, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of Nepal Police has arrested 15 peddlers with narcotics drugs, including brown heroin, marijuana, ampoules and other substances, from different parts of Kathmandu valley.
According to the police, four men were arrested with 252 ampoules on September 1 and 4.
Those arrested include Sanjay Kapali, 32, of Chyasal, Lalitpur; Kumar Tamang, 27, of Manthali, Ramechhap; Anis Maharjan, 29, of Lalitpur; Dharamdev Ram, 27, of Saptari.
Police have seized 31 Buprenorphine, 31 Diazepam, 30 Phenergan from Kumar Tamang; and 56 Buprenorphine, 25 Diazepam, and 79 Phenergan, in addition to Rs 22,000 cash, 17 sets of mobile phone, 7 watches, and 4 guitars from Anis Maharjan.
Likewise, the Bureau has arrested eight people with 287.5 grams of brown heroin in the first week of September.
Those arrested are Pratap Karki, 33, of Bhaisipati; Bhuwan BK, 24, absconding in the brown heroin case; Deng Hang Nemwang, of Phidim, Panchthar; Utsav Ghimire, 25, of Kathmandu-6; Dorchi Sherpa, 41, of Bhojpur;Furlami Sherpa,32, of Bhojpur; Apsara Khatun, 30, and Nausad Alam, 44, of Mechinagar, Jhapa.
Police seized 7.4 grams of brown heroin from Karki; 33 grams from Nemwang; 7 grams from Ghimire and Sherpa; 240 grams of brown heroin and digital scales from Sherpa; and digital scales,and Rs1.4 million cash from Khatun and Alam.
Also, three people were arrested with 2 kilograms of marijuana on September 5.
The arrested include Manoj Rai, 28, of Mandan Deupur; Ankit Kumar Shrestha, 30, of Kathmandu, Naxal; Rahul chettri, 30, of Kathmandu, Khusibu.
Police said on September 5, Shrestha requested Rai to receive a parcel containing marijuana from the Goshwara Post Office, Dillibazar, promising to pay him Rs 30,000.
