Lake city Pokhara will play host to a one-day street festival to mark World Tourism Day on Tuesday.
The festival will organised from Fishtail Gate to Barahi Chowk in Lake Side.
"The festival starts from 5 pm to 10 pm," said the event organiser, Restaurant & Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN), at a press conference in Pokhara on Sunday. The event has been promoted by the Nepal Tourism Board.
"A wide variety of domestic and foreign dishes, diverse ethnic cultural dances, Gandarva songs, Lakhe dances, Panche Baza and various adventure sports will be the attraction of the fair," said Bikash Bhattarai, programme coordinator and general secretary of Reban.
Speaking at the conference, Reban Acting President Bishwo Paudel emphasised on the need for carrying out activists by linking tourism to boost the country's economic development.
"The Pokhara Tourism Council is organising 'Pokhara International Airport and World Tourism Bazaar'," said council's General Secretary Sanjaya Kanta Sigdel. - RSS
