Renowned Bollywood actor and social worker Bhagyashree Patwardhan, fondly known as Bhagyashree, has urged fellow Indians to visit Nepal and enjoy its natural beauty.
The 1989 hit ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ actor, who is also a nutritionist and wellness expert, recently visited Nepal and travelled around Kathmandu valley, including Pashupatinath Temple, one of Hinduism’s holiest shrines.
Bhagyashree visited Nepal at the invitation of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). The Board has already started celebrating Visit Nepal Decade - 2023-2033.
Appreciating her Nepal visit, NTB wrote on its Facebook page: “She shared with us her impression and experience of Nepal. She has promised to visit again and we look forward to welcoming her soon!”
In a video made public by the Board, the actress has shared her experience and impressions of Nepal
In it, Bhagyashree says: “Hi everybody. I have just come to the most amazing place - that’s Kathmandu in Nepal. I have never visited Nepal though I always wanted to. Being so close to India somehow we feel like we can go there anytime, but we never end up actually planning. But after coming here, I feel this is an absolute must-see (place).”
Admiring Kathmandu’s weather, cultural heritage sites and “lovely people”, urged urban Indians to “hop on the plane and relax in Nepal” even during weekends.
