Bagmati Province booked their place in the semi-finals of the women’s cricket competition under the ninth National Games, beating Madhesh Province by 8 wickets. 

After wrapping the Madhesh Pravince for a paltry 55 runs, Bagmati achieved the target in 13.2 overs for the loss of two wickets. 

Suman Khatiwada made 17 unbeaten runs and Anisha Mazakoti made 16 not out to take Bagmati into the semi-finals where they meet Nepal Police.

Asmita Kharel scored 13 runs, while Kanchan Shrestha scored 5 runs. Saraswati Chaudhary and captain Kavita Gautam took a wicket each for Madhesh. 

Earlier, Madhesh scored 54 runs before being all out in 18.2 overs. None of the batters could reach double figures for Madhesh, with the sundries accounting for 19 runs. 

Bipisa Shahi, Soni Pakhrin and Khushi Dangol took two wickets apiece for Bagmati while ending Madhesh innings cheaply.

Bagmati in Group A reached the semi-finals as runners-up with 6 points in four matches. Madhesh is out of the competition with 4 points in 4 games. From this group, Police Club has reached the semi-finals as group winners. 

Both the semi-finals will take place on Monday, with Group A winners Armed Police Force facing Group B runners-up Lumbini in the first match, followed by Group B winners Nepal Police taking on Group A runners-up Bagmati Pradesh.
