Department sides Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club and Armed Police Force have taken a runaway lead, winning the lion’s share of medals at the ninth National Games. Among them, the three teams have won 353 medals.

Until Tuesday evening, TAC maintain their stranglehold at the top of the medal tally with 160 medals - 74 gold, 51 silver and 35 bronze.

NPC are a distant second with 91 medals – 30 gold, 24 silver and 37 bronze, and with 102 medals – 27 gold, 31 silver and 44 bronze – APF complete the podium.

Bagmati Province lead the pack of non-departmental sides, to stand fourth overall with 64 medals – 15 gold, 23 silver, and 26 bronze. Home province Gandaki are close behind with 53 medals: 12 gold, 12 silver and 29 bronze.

Sudurpaschim occupy the sixth position with 26 total medals: 7 gold, 3 silver and 16 bronze. In the seventh place are NRNA with 16 medals: 6 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze.

Eighth-placed Madhesh Province have 24 medals: 5 gold, 5 silver and 14 bronze. Province 1 stand are ninth in the standings with a total of 47 medals: 3 gold, 14 silver and 30 bronze.

Lumbini Province are tenth with 31 medals: 2 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze, while Karnali Province are at the bottom with 5 medals – 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.
