Chhath, an ancient festival observed by Nepal Hindus, concluded on Monday morning after worshipping the rising sun. 

On Chhath, devotees gather by water bodies to offer prayers by fasting, bathing, and standing in the water for continuous periods to offer prayers to Surya (Sun God), thanking and paying respects to seek blessings for sustaining life on earth.

In the pictures below, Nepali Hindu women are seen offering prayers to the Sun God at Kamalpokhari during the Chhath festival in Kathmandu.
