Three dead in Narayani boat accident

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident

Three persons died when a boat capsized in hte Narayani River in Nawalparasi district on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Guddu Harijan (22), Niraj Harijan (18), and Ranjit Gupta (18) from Suta-4 of the district.

According to Rishiram Kandel, the police chief in the district, the boat ferrying the youths was returning home after a picnic but it capsized at Ghol of the Narayani River in Susta Rural Municipality-4.

Meanwhile, two others – Kishor Harijan and Sohit Sahani – onboard were injured in the incident. The duo was taken to Bhairahawa for treatment.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident. -RSS
