All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Tuesday announced Prabesh Katuwal as the interim head coach for Nepal’s upcoming friendly against Pakistan.

The match is scheduled for 5pm kick-off at the Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu on November 16.
Katwal was the coach of the A-Division League champions Machhindra Nath Football Club for the 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 seasons.

Nepal played their last friendly with Bangladesh on September 25 under interim head coach Pradip Humagain. The hosts won 3-1.

The Pakistan Football Association had requested to play two matches, but ANFA said only one match would be possible, citing the upcoming elections.

Nepal’s last match against Pakistan was in the 2018 edition of the SAFF Football Championship which they lost 2-1.
