American singer of Nepali origin, Parijita Bastola, won the knockout round of The Voice, the American singing reality show.
The 17-year-old defeated her challengers Valarie Harding, and Peyton Aldridge, who were also from the team Legend.
She sang Etta James' 1968 soul classic, "I'd Rather Go Blind."
Coach Legend and Camila Cabello gave a standing ovation to her performance.
American media NBC reported that Bastola won the round even though a video posted on the Youtube channel of the singing reality show on Youtube does not show her winning.
“Before Legend officially dubbed Bastola the winner, each coach couldn't help but marvel at the young singer's age.” NBC said.
Bastola is residing in Severna Park, Maryland.
Her parents migrated to the United States more than a decade ago where the family runs a small restaurant in Severna Park, Maryland.
Bastola has been winning the hearts of the coaches since the blind audition.
