A large number of goats were struck dead by lightning at Ripgaun of Sarkegad Rural Municipality-2 in Humla district. 

More than 50 goats of Ripgaun have died due to lightning whereas one person has been injured.

According to Siddha Karki, the ward chairperson of the rural municipality, more than 50 goats belonging to two locals were struck by lightning when they were taking goats to a place called Ripko Khani.

Ward Chair Karki informed that the condition of injured Chakka Karki, who was struck by lightning, is coming back to normal.

Upon being hit, he was carried on back and brought to his home in Ripgaun.

More than 50 goats and two cows of the local, Karki and Ludpya Mahatara, have died due to a sudden lightning strike at Kharka.

Ward Chairman Karki shared that the details of the incident are still awaited as the pastureland is far away from the residential area.
